Waking People Up- 4 Ways to Tell If Someone Is Ready

There is no bigger waste of your time than to to get people to see your way. The only reason you would have to try is if someone is unreceptive. If someone is unreceptive I don’t think there is anything on the planet you can do to change their mind. If you try, you’ll only alienate them from you, and you want to be there when they are ready. If someone is receptive, you don’t have to try. You’re there to simply share.

The Betrayed: On Warriors, Cowboys and Other MisfitsThat is great advice–if only I could follow it. My tendency is to blow them out of their socks. It is just that arguing with stupid a “painful and ultimately pointless endeavor” and therefore very frustrating.

There isn’t one Anarchist out there who hasn’t become extremely frustrated at the brick wall they often find themselves face to face with when someone makes a blatantly ignorant statement like, “Government is us.”

Combat Shooter's Handbook I have ruined relationships with family members, annoyed a whole lot of people, and wasted tons of energy and many hours in my effort to de-brainwash people, get them to open their eyes and hearts, and break people out of the American cult.  Through much trial and error, heartbreak and frustration, I’ve learned that you can’t break people out. They have to break themselves out. No amount of force on your part can make them do it.

communicationSo here’s how to know if someone is receptive:
  1. Gauge the stubbornness or receptivity of their words. Let’s say you make the statement, “I don’t vote because the existence of government is immoral.” A highly receptive response would be something like “Oh yeah, why’s that?” On a one to ten scale of receptivity with one being the most receptive and ten being unreachable slave, this would be a one response. If the response was, “But we’re the government”, that would be at about a five level. If the response is, “We are the government, and I will never give up The Essence of Liberty: Volume I: Liberty and History: The Rise and Fall of the Noble Experiment with Constitutionally Limited Government (Liberty and ... Limited Government) (Volume 1) The Essence of Liberty: Volume II: The Economics of Liberty (Volume 2) The Essence of Liberty: Volume III: A Universal Philosophy of Political Economy (Liberty: A Universal Political Ethic) (Volume 3)  because I have kids. We have to work on the system from the inside, and you’re giving up, and you’re the reason this country is going downhill. Besides, (insert name of their preferred presidential candidate) will turn this country around.” then that is a ten response, and I would run from that person as fast as my feet or mouse could take me.
  2. Are they ready to argue? I’ve never personally seen anyone win anyone over through argument. Move on to a better use of your energy.
  3. A Handbook for Ranch Managers Planned Grazing: A Study Guide and Reference Manual Environmental & Natural Resource Economics: The Austrian ViewAre they combative or sarcastic? These are sure signs they’re closed off and will defend their stance at any cost. Never meet them with combativeness or sarcasm. Your power is in rising above that.
  4. Read their body language. If they’re talking with their arms and hands and smiling at you, then they’re receptive. If their arms are crossed, their eyebrows are furrowed, or you can see that they’re trying to escape the conversation, then they aren’t receptive.

Keep reading their receptivity so that you can meet them where they are and know when to stop. The skill in being a leader, a teacher and a revolutionary is to know where a person is and what they’re ready for.
Don’t worry. The pressure isn’t all on you, friend. The revolution is building, and there’s no stopping it. Everyone comes around at their own time. You’ll be there when they’re ready, and so will a lot of other people. Thank you for your work.

Reconnaissance Marine MCI 03.32f: Marine Corps InstituteAll unclassified Army and Marine Cops manuals and correspondence courses are products of the US Federal Government. They are NOT subject to copyright and can be freely copied and redistributed.

The Marine Corps Institute (MCI) develops correspondence courses for Marines with all kinds of Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) on all manner of subjects. This is one of those courses.

The print is relatively small because that is the way it was in the original and this is an exact reproduction. Also, as a tribute to the individual (and a touch of reality), you will notice that the editorial pencil marks and underlined passages that were put there by the Marine that took this course. They were intentionally left in the reproduction.

This version of the course was authorized in September of 1984. With the exception the development of Infrared technology, it contains information and techniques that have changed very little since the Vietnam war. These battle proven tactics are as valid today as they were in Quang Nam province in 1968.

They will maintain their validity during the upcoming inevitable event of total economic, political and social collapse. Yours for freedom in our lifetimes. jtl, 419

About Land & Livestock Interntional, Inc.

Land and Livestock International, Inc. is a leading agribusiness management firm providing a complete line of services to the range livestock industry. We believe that private property is the foundation of America. Private property and free markets go hand in hand—without property there is no freedom. We also believe that free markets, not government intervention, hold the key to natural resource conservation and environmental preservation. No government bureaucrat can (or will) understand and treat the land with as much respect as its owner. The bureaucrat simply does not have the same motives as does the owner of a capital interest in the property. Our specialty is the working livestock ranch simply because there are so many very good reasons for owning such a property. We provide educational, management and consulting services with a focus on ecologically and financially sustainable land management that will enhance natural processes (water and mineral cycles, energy flow and community dynamics) while enhancing profits and steadily building wealth.
