Vital Information ALL Americans

“There was a time in our nation’s history when Americans would have revolted against the prospect of city police forces the size of small armies, or rampaging SWAT teams tearing through doors and terrorizing families.”

The Betrayed: On Warriors, Cowboys and Other MisfitsThe militarization of law enforcement has been ratcheting up for a long time but it got kicked off in earnest under the “leadership” of Bill (aka Slick Willie) Clinton.

Soldiers and Marines kill people and break things. If you are a soldier or Marine, you either kill people and break things or you support people who kill people and break things. THAT is no attitude for any police force in any country that has the audacity to call itself “free.” — jtl, 419

Reconnaissance Marine MCI 03.32f: Marine Corps InstituteThis is a must read, and is possibly the best, simplest and most current explanation about the “war on the American people”. Constitutional lawyer Whitehead has gathered lots of good information (with 44 pages of footnotes!) documenting the increasing militarization and intrusiveness of the local, state and federal police forces and the military/industrial/media surveillance industry, and how we are on the cusp of a complete fascist state (a system of ‘national socialism’ where government and corporations are unified). All that’s needed now to make it complete is a charismatic leader.

Combat Shooter's Handbook The one fault here is the apparently rushed editing which leads to sometimes repetitious writing, but what he’s saying bears frequent repeating, as obviously most Americans have remained oblivious to the imminent threat that is clear and present from our own government. This may sound like a paranoid vision of reality, and while Whitehead does sometimes appear to be resorting to hyperbole, what he’s saying is all true and quickly moving from the rare and extreme to the norm.

Environmental & Natural Resource Economics: The Austrian View“There was a time in our nation’s history when Americans would have revolted against the prospect of city police forces the size of small armies, or rampaging SWAT teams tearing through doors and terrorizing families. Today the need for ramped up, militarized police is largely sold to the American public by way of the media through reality TV shows, and by politicians well-versed in promising greater security in exchange for the government being given greater freedom to operate as it sees fit while running roughshod over the Constitution.” (p.148) Battlefield America: T… John W. Limited Government) (Volume 1) The Essence of Liberty: Volume II: The Economics of Liberty (Volume 2) The Essence of Liberty: Volume III: A Universal Philosophy of Political Economy (Liberty: A Universal Political Ethic) (Volume 3)   “Thus, while recycling unused military equipment might sound thrifty and practical, the ramifications are proving to be far more dangerous and deadly. This is what happens when you have police not only acquiring the gear of American soldiers but also the mindset of an army occupying hostile territory. With police playing the part of soldiers on the battlefield and the American citizenry left to play the part of enemy combatants, it’s a safe bet that this exercise in the absurd will not have a happy ending.” (p. 151)

A Handbook for Ranch Managers Planned Grazing: A Study Guide and Reference Manual“…Meanwhile, there are more than 1,100 people shot to death by police in America each year. According to the FBI, approximately 400 of these are “justifiable.” Compare that to Germany, a nation of 80 million, where police kill all of eight people. In Britain and Japan, with a combined population of 191 million, the police didn’t kill anyone.” (p. 173)

Wake up America! It is too late to nip it in the bud, but maybe not to resist it both lawfully and with civil disobedience and ultimately defund and dismantle it.

BookCoverImageMurray N. Rothbard was the father of what some call Radical Libertarianism or Anarcho-Capitalism which Hans-Hermann Hoppe described as “Rothbard’s unique contribution to the rediscovery of property and property rights as the common foundation of both economics and political philosophy, and the systematic reconstruction and conceptual integration of modern, marginalist economics and natural-law political philosophy into a unified moral science: libertarianism.”

This book applies the principles of this “unified moral science” to environmental and natural resource management issues.

The book started out life as an assigned reading list for a university level course entitled Environmental and Natural Resource Economics: The Austrian View.

As I began to prepare to teach the course, I quickly saw that there was a plethora of textbooks suitable for universal level courses dealing with environmental and natural resource economics. The only problem was that they were all based in mainstream neo-classical (or Keynesian) theory. I could find no single collection of material comprising a comprehensive treatment of environmental and natural resource economics based on Austrian Economic Theory.

However, I was able to find a large number of essays, monographs, papers delivered at professional meetings and published from a multitude of sources. This book is the result. It is composed of a collection of research reports and essays by reputable scientists, economists, and legal experts as well as private property and free market activists.

The book is organized into seven parts: I. Environmentalism: The New State Religion; II. The New State Religion Debunked; III. Introduction to Environmental and Natural Resource Economics; IV. Interventionism: Law and Regulation; V. Pollution and Recycling; VI. Property Rights: Planning, Zoning and Eminent Domain; and VII. Free Market Conservation. It also includes an elaborate Bibliography, References and Recommended Reading section including an extensive Annotated Bibliography of related and works on the subject.

The intellectual level of the individual works ranges from quite scholarly to informed editorial opinion.

About Land & Livestock Interntional, Inc.

Land and Livestock International, Inc. is a leading agribusiness management firm providing a complete line of services to the range livestock industry. We believe that private property is the foundation of America. Private property and free markets go hand in hand—without property there is no freedom. We also believe that free markets, not government intervention, hold the key to natural resource conservation and environmental preservation. No government bureaucrat can (or will) understand and treat the land with as much respect as its owner. The bureaucrat simply does not have the same motives as does the owner of a capital interest in the property. Our specialty is the working livestock ranch simply because there are so many very good reasons for owning such a property. We provide educational, management and consulting services with a focus on ecologically and financially sustainable land management that will enhance natural processes (water and mineral cycles, energy flow and community dynamics) while enhancing profits and steadily building wealth.
